Forced Marriage, Honour Based Violence, Female Genital Mutilation
This Forced Marriage (FM), Honour Based Violence (HBV) and Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) course is aimed at all early years practitioners, playworkers and primary teachers, both new and experienced, to support their greater understanding of the wider issues of safeguarding that we are now required to know and understand in our complex and diverse communities.
This Forced Marriage, Honour Based Violence, Female Genital Mutilation course will enable practitioners to:
- Describe definitions of all 3 concepts
- Outline the prevalence of all 3 concepts
- State the possible risk factors that may suggest concerns
- Consider the consequences of the occurrence of these concepts
- List possible signs and indicators of FM, HBV and FGM
Culture related traditions can present real safeguarding challenges for early years practitioners and those working with younger children. This 2-hour course will support you in recognising potential concerns and explore how best to deal with them.
We are currently delivering our courses via Zoom Live. We use a lot of different methods to make sure courses are as interactive as possible and do expect delegates to have cameras on and sound on when required. We also request that you take part in the feedback on our courses so that we can improve our services every time. We provide individual certificates for all of our courses.
