Risky Play in Early Years is an Early Years Training Course aimed at taking a new look at encouraging more risky play opportunities in Early Years settings.
Taking part in risky play in early years activities has lots of benefits to young children, but just how much risk is too much? This course examines the way we handle risky activities in the setting, from why they should be used to how to mitigate the risk. This course provides tools to safely provide a risk assessed, challenging environment for children that allows them to take risks that aid their development.
This Risky Play in Early Years training course will cover the following points:

- Understanding the importance of Risky Play
- Safely promoting Risky Play in your setting

This Risky Play in Early Years Training Course is aimed at any practitioners that work with 2-5-year-olds. The content contains examples that are aimed at children aged 3-5, but the concepts can be tailored to suit toddlers (but not under 2s).
