Please note MBK Training rooms are closed for the following statutory holidays :
Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, May Day Bank Holiday Monday, Spring Bank Holiday Monday, August Bank Holiday Monday.
Bookings will only be taken up to three months in advance. A 50% deposit is required once the booking has been confirmed, the balance of payment must be made one month in advance of the agreed booking. Provisional bookings will only be held open for 5 working days, following this the client must confirm or withdraw the request.
Rooms are charged at an hourly rate for the amount of time the booking is required (minimum booking 2 hours) which will include the time for preparation and clearing away by the hirer. Part hours will be charged at a full hourly rate. Any booking that over runs will incur additional charges.
If the hirer cancels within 7 days of the booking or fails to take up a booking, the full charge will be payable. Any cancellation of a booking must be given in writing following a telephone call.
In the event of a cancelled booking, the following charges will apply:
- Two months prior to the booking date – No fee is charged
- One month prior to the booking date – 25% of the full fee is charged
- 14 days prior to the booking date – 50% of the full fee is charged
- 7 days prior to the booking date – the full amount is charged.
Refunds, where due, will be made within 30 days of the cancellation either as a credit to the card originally charged, by electronic transfer (where account details have been provided) or by cheque. Any refund will be made after application of any Cancellation fees.
Damage or Loss
Any damage to the building, training or meeting rooms, contents or equipment or any extra cleaning required to return the building, rooms, contents equipment or other facility to an acceptable condition arising directly from its use by a particular individual or group will be charged to the person/organisation booking the room.
Under no circumstances will MBK Training make good or accept responsibility for any damage or theft of property brought into or left on the premises by the hirer or any other person unless arising through the negligence or default of MBK Training.
MBK Training shall not be liable for any loss whether direct or indirect, including loss of profit, caused by any occurrence beyond MBK Training’s reasonable control which results in the cancellation, delay or interruption of the hiring.
Audio Visual Equipment
There will not always be professional technical support available on site, it is expected that the hirer knows how to use the equipment to be hired.
Any damage to the Audio Visual equipment arising directly or indirectly from its use will be charged to the person/organisation booking the room.
Fire Procedures / Health and Safety
All users must familiarise themselves with the identified fire evacuation procedures and respond as required.
In the event of fire the hirer must ring 999 immediately. If you do not have a mobile phone the nearest premises which has a static phone is the Barley Mow Public House (right out of Millennium house and at the bottom of the hill by the roundabout) it is the hirer’s responsibility to ensure that all users have vacated the building.
Hirers should not exceed the permissible and agreed numbers of people allowed in the meeting/training rooms at any time in accordance with the Health and Safety Policy and Fire Regulations.
A First Aid box is situated in the kitchen. In the event of an accident you must complete a form in the accident book which is kept with the First Aid box. In the case of an accident under the RIDDOR (reporting of injuries, diseases and dangerous occurrences) regulations you must notify either Jo Lynton on 07877 377239 or Tricia Wellings on 07957 133437 immediately.
We reserve the right not to accept bookings or usage by individuals or groups who do not comply with Health and Safety regulations, who do not respect MBK Training facilities or staff. Warnings will be given before this occurs.
