Will enable early years Practitioners to improve their Early Years Risk Assessment and be able to:

  • Recognise risks and hazards and be able to explain what they are
  • Know what actions they need to take to address specific hazards to ensure children’s safety is maintained
  • Understand their own responsibility in relation to risk and hazards
  • Evaluate different levels of risk by carrying out a risk assessment

Risk assessing in Early Years and Early Years health and safety

This Risk Assessment for Early Years course is aimed at all practitioners who care for children as the EYFS  states, providers must ‘ensure staff and children in their care are not exposed to risks and must be able to demonstrate how they are managing risks’ (EYFS:2017).
