MBK Summer Snapshots

This summer, MBK Early Years is offering a series of free one-hour Summer Snapshot webinars, designed to help early years teams reflect on some of the key areas within the Early Years Inspection Toolkit.
Each session will offer a focused overview of an important area of practice, helping practitioners, room leaders, deputies, managers and providers to consider what this means in everyday practice, what may already be in place, and where practice may need to be strengthened further.

Safeguarding is more than having policies in place. It is about the culture, knowledge, confidence and everyday practice that help keep children safe.
This session will support early years teams to reflect on what is important within safeguarding, what needs to be in place, and how good safeguarding practice is seen across the setting.
We will explore key questions such as:

What needs to be secure in safeguarding practice?
How confident are staff in recognising and responding to concerns?
How do practitioners understand their role in keeping children safe?
What does good safeguarding practice look like day to day?
How can settings strengthen a positive safeguarding culture?
